Born in  Toledo , Ohio , USA , she got the Bachelors of Music in the  Bowling Green State University , where she studied with Bernard Linden. After her bachelors degree, she continued studying while at the same time she taught in the Toledo School System. In 1987, she finished her Master of Music in the New England Conservatory of Music , with Marcus Thompson.

She collaborated with different orchestras , including, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, the Binghamton Symphony Orchestra and the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. She participated in the Festival of Music of Aspen and in the Los Angeles Philarmonic Institute Festival.

In 1992 she was winner of the audition for viola in the National Orchestra of Porto ( Portugal ) where she played as co-principal.

Since 2002 she teaches in the San Francisco Bay area and collaborates with local orchestras.
